Three Killed as Gunmen Attack Traditional Marriage Ceremony in Lafia

A traditional wedding in Akunza, a Migili-speaking community in Ashige, Lafia Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, was thrown into chaos on Tuesday night after unidentified gunmen stormed the event.

A youth leader from the community confirmed that at least three people were killed, while several others sustained injuries, including women and children who are now receiving medical treatment at a local health facility.

The attack occurred during the wedding festivities, causing panic as guests and residents fled to safety. The motive behind the assault remains unclear.
