Wike and Fubara playing “Tom and Jerry’ – Shehu Sani
Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, on Tuesday commented on the ongoing political clash between the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, and Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara.
Reacting on X, Sani described the renewed feud as resembling a “Tom and Jerry series,” highlighting the continued back-and-forth between the two leaders.
The dispute escalated after Fubara questioned Wike’s direct support for President Bola Tinubu, prompting Wike to caution that mere expressions of loyalty, such as chanting “your mandate we shall stand,” would not guarantee political backing in 2027.
Wike emphasized that multiple factors would influence any endorsement for Fubara’s potential reelection bid, including the governor’s credibility and ability to collaborate effectively with the state’s legislators.
