Trump Shares Photo of Venezuela President in U.S. Military Custody

United States President Donald Trump has released a photograph he claims shows Venezuela President Nicolás Maduro being escorted onto a United States military aircraft for transfer to America.

The image was shared on Saturday through Trump’s official platform, where he said it was taken shortly after what he described as U.S. airstrikes on Venezuelan territory. According to Trump, the photograph captures the moment Maduro was placed under military custody following an operation he previously announced had led to the Venezuelan leader’s arrest.

The release of the image has further intensified global focus on events unfolding in Venezuela, coming after Trump’s earlier statement that the United States had carried out a “large-scale strike” and detained the South American country’s president.

Despite the dramatic claims, there has been no independent confirmation from U.S. defence authorities, the Pentagon, or Venezuelan officials to verify the authenticity of the photograph or to substantiate assertions that Maduro has been captured.

Venezuelan authorities have continued to condemn what they describe as foreign aggression, while international observers and major media organisations remain cautious, awaiting official statements and verifiable information from both Washington and Caracas.

The latest development has deepened diplomatic tensions and fueled intense debate across global political circles as the situation continues to unfold.
