Sadiq Umar Signs Permanent Transfer Deal to Valencia
Super Eagles forward Sadiq Umar has sealed a permanent transfer to Spanish LaLiga side Valencia, DAILY POST reports.
The 28-year-old striker has signed a contract with Los Ches that will keep him at the Mestalla until 2028. Sadiq previously spent the second half of last season on loan at Valencia, where he impressed with six goals in 19 league appearances.
Despite his strong performances, Valencia were unable to secure a permanent deal from Real Sociedad during the last summer transfer window. The club has now moved decisively to retain the Nigerian international as it battles to avoid relegation from LaLiga.
Under head coach Carlos Corberán, Valencia are counting on Sadiq’s attacking quality to boost their survival hopes. The striker is expected to be available for selection when Valencia host Elche at the Mestalla on Sunday.
