Osun Police Commissioner Orders Tight Security For Eid-el-Fitr Celebrations
The Osun State Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Umar Abba, has directed the deployment of security personnel and logistics to ensure a peaceful Eid-el-Fitr celebration across the state.
According to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, Adeoye Akeem Adeola, the security measures will cover highways, worship centers, and strategic locations. Area commanders, divisional police officers, and heads of tactical units have been instructed to prevent any breach of peace and ensure criminals do not disrupt public spaces.
The CP reassured residents of the police command’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property while urging the public to remain law-abiding and report any suspicious activities.
He congratulated the Muslim faithful on the occasion and encouraged them to support security agencies through prayers and prompt reporting of security concerns.
