Makinde Sacks SSG, Reshuffle Cabinet with fresh appointments

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has announced the immediate relief of Prof. Olanike Adeyemo from her role as Secretary to the State Government (SSG).

A statement released on Monday by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Dr. Sulaimon Olanrewaju, confirmed that Prof. Musibau Babatunde has been appointed as the new SSG.

The statement further revealed additional changes in the state cabinet: Mr. Seun Ashamu has been reassigned from the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources to the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning.

Additionally, the Governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Works, Ademola Aderinto, has been nominated as a commissioner-designate and will be presented to the Oyo State House of Assembly for screening.

Other appointments announced include Mr. Abiodun Adedoja as Special Adviser on Energy Security and Kolawole Akanmu as Senior Special Assistant on Budget and Economic Planning.

These changes reflect Governor Makinde’s ongoing efforts to restructure his cabinet for enhanced governance and service delivery across Oyo State.
