Israeli PM Netanyahu commend Trump’s Counter-terrorism Efforts
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday lauded United States President Donald Trump for his decisive stance against terrorism. The commendation came during a meeting at Mar-a-Lago, where Netanyahu announced that Trump had been awarded the Israel Prize.
Established in 1953, the Israel Prize is the nation’s highest civilian and cultural honor, typically reserved for those who have made exceptional contributions to Israeli society. Netanyahu noted that a special provision was created, making Trump the first non-Israeli recipient in over seven decades.
The Prime Minister praised Trump’s efforts in supporting Israel and combating global terrorist threats, emphasizing the shared commitment to defending civilization. Netanyahu also invited Trump to visit Israel on its Independence Day, highlighting the U.S. leader’s “extraordinary” support and principled positions.
Trump, in response, described Netanyahu as “a wartime Prime Minister” and affirmed his commitment to maintaining stability and peace in the Middle East. He reiterated the strong friendship between the United States and Israel, pledging continued support.
During the meeting, Netanyahu and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio discussed regional security, economic cooperation, combating antisemitism, and strategies to sustain stability in the Middle East, consistent with President Trump’s peace initiatives.
