Four Youths Die in Tragic Road Accident on Jega-Birnin Kebbi Highway
Four youths lost their lives in a fatal road accident while traveling from Birnin Kebbi to Jega on the Jega-Birnin Kebbi Highway in Kebbi State.
An eyewitness, Faruk Nassarawa, who is also a member of the Kebbi State House of Assembly representing the Jega constituency, confirmed the tragic incident.
According to Nassarawa, the accident occurred on Tuesday evening as the victims were returning to Jega after visiting a sick person at the Federal Medical Centre in Birnin Kebbi. He revealed that one of the deceased was his brother, while the other three were also indigenes of Jega Local Government Area.
Governor Nasir Idris and other prominent figures have extended their condolences to Nassarawa, the district head of Jega, and the Jega Local Government Council over the tragic loss. They described the incident as a heartbreaking tragedy for the people of Jega and Kebbi State.
The deceased have since been buried in Jega in accordance with Islamic rites.
