The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has announced a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Nigerian national, Olumide Adebiyi Adediran, who is wanted in the United States for multiple financial crimes.

According to the FBI, Adediran absconded from the Central District of Illinois in late December 2001, just days before his federal trial was set to begin. He has since been declared a fugitive.

Adediran faces several federal charges, including bank fraud, identification document fraud, and credit card fraud—offenses often associated with organized schemes to defraud financial institutions and unsuspecting individuals.

Authorities said he also violated the conditions of his release, a serious offense that occurs when a defendant deliberately ignores court-ordered restrictions while awaiting trial. In Adediran’s case, fleeing prosecution underscored his status as a high flight risk.

The FBI urged members of the public with credible information about Adediran’s whereabouts to come forward, assuring that such details could help bring him to justice after more than two decades on the run.
