Eid-el-Fitr: FG Declares March 31, April 1 Public Holidays
The Federal Government has declared Monday, March 31, and Tuesday, April 1, as public holidays to mark the 2025 Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
The announcement was made on Wednesday by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, on behalf of the government.
Congratulating the Muslim Ummah on the successful completion of Ramadan, Tunji-Ojo urged them to uphold the values of self-discipline, compassion, generosity, and peace. He also emphasized the importance of love, forgiveness, and unity in fostering a harmonious society.
In a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Magdalene Ajani, the Minister called on Nigerians to use the festive period to pray for the peace, stability, and prosperity of the nation.
