Police commence Investigation into Suspected Fatal Train Accident in Abuja
The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has launched an investigation into the death of a woman believed to have been involved in a fatal train accident along the Gwagwa-Idu rail line in Abuja.
Reports indicate that the unidentified woman’s body was discovered on the train tracks on Monday, March 24, prompting authorities to probe the circumstances surrounding her death.
The remains were later evacuated to Kubwa General Hospital, where doctors confirmed her death. Efforts are currently underway to identify her and locate her relatives.
Meanwhile, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of operations, DCP Isyaku Sharu, has urged residents to exercise caution near railway lines and adhere to safety regulations to prevent similar tragedies.
