Two Brothers Crushed in Ebonyi Road Accident After Cross-Over Night Service 

Two brothers have lost their lives in a fatal road accident in Obegu-Aba, Ozibo community, Ebonyi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, after reportedly returning home from a Cross-Over Night church service.

The incident, which occurred at about 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, involved a speeding Toyota Corolla bearing an Ebonyi State Government registration number. According to a source who spoke to Talk Nigeria on condition of anonymity, the victims were riding on a motorcycle when the government-owned vehicle, identified with registration number Ebonyi 241-EBGH, rammed into them at high speed.

The impact of the collision was devastating. The source disclosed that one of the victims lost a leg, while one hand of the other brother was severed in the crash. Their motorcycle was also completely wrecked.

Following the accident, the driver of the Toyota Corolla reportedly abandoned the vehicle at the scene and fled.

Police officers from the Ebonyi State Command arrived shortly after the incident, evacuated the bodies of the deceased, and conveyed them away from the scene. The vehicle involved in the crash was also taken to a police station for further investigation.

Authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the incident, as investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash continue.
