Dependable Ally, Good Man to Follow – Rivers Monarch Hails Wike

The paramount ruler of Emohua Kingdom in Rivers State, Eze Ohna Sergeant Chidi Awuse, has praised the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, describing him as a dependable ally and a leader worthy of followership.

Awuse, who also serves as Chairman of the South South Monarchs Forum, made the remarks during Wike’s Christmas visit to Rumuche Emohua in Emohua Local Government Area. He stated, “You’re a man to be followed; a dependable ally; a friend to the people of Emohua and our leader. Wherever you go, Emohua Local Government will follow.”

The traditional ruler also acknowledged President Bola Tinubu’s performance, noting his role in improving the national economy, stabilising the naira, and increasing Nigeria’s foreign reserves. Drawing from his background in accounting and finance, Awuse said, “The indices are clear. The naira has strengthened, and the external reserves have risen to over 47 billion dollars.”

Awuse further commended Wike for his transformative work in Abuja and urged him to remain undistracted by opposition efforts. “In life, if you expect not to have enemies, then you’re a master of nobody. Only a man who is doing well is spoken about,” he added.

The monarch also expressed gratitude for Wike’s consistent annual visits and for his ongoing support to the local government, emphasizing the importance of acknowledging such contributions publicly.
