Charly Boy Shares Heartwarming Gesture from Peter Obi

Veteran entertainer Charly Boy, also known as Charles Oputa, has shared a touching story about former presidential candidate Peter Obi and a surprise gift he received from him.

In a post on his social media, Charly Boy explained that around 1 am, he got a call from Obi, who said he planned to visit him at 5 am. Despite his busy schedule, Charly Boy agreed to the visit, and Obi arrived with a large ‘Ghana Must Go’ bag.

When Charly Boy went downstairs to greet him, he noticed the big bag sitting by the entrance. Curious about what was inside, he didn’t open it immediately. The two sat down and talked for nearly two hours about Nigeria, politics, family, and other topics.

After their conversation, Obi told Charly Boy, “See small thing I bring for you.” Charly Boy thanked him without opening the bag. However, after Obi left, he decided to check what was inside. To his surprise, the bag was filled with items such as roasted groundnuts, alligator pepper, kola nuts, pawpaw, oranges, agara, mangos, bananas, and more. These were items Obi had personally packed.

Charly Boy couldn’t help but laugh at the thoughtful gesture and immediately called Obi to thank him. Obi explained, “Senior I no fit give you money, but I fit give you this one, na my hand pick.”

Charly Boy, a strong supporter of Peter Obi and an active member of the Obidient movement, had campaigned passionately for the Labour Party during the 2023 presidential election.
