5% Fuel Tax Will Not Be Implemented Immediately – FG
The Federal Government has assured Nigerians that it has no immediate plans to enforce the 5 percent Petroleum Products Tax provided for in the recently passed tax legislation.
Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, disclosed this on Tuesday during a press briefing in Abuja.
The clarification comes amid public outrage and warnings from organised labour, which has threatened industrial action if the government proceeds with the controversial tax.
