A Nigerian man, Rotimi Oladimeji, has been arrested in New Orleans by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) over alleged fraud-related crimes.

ICE confirmed the arrest in a post on X on Monday, sharing a photo of Oladimeji dressed in a grey shirt and headwarmer, while describing him as a “criminal alien” from Nigeria.

According to the agency, Oladimeji has a history of mail and wire fraud and had previously been ordered to pay over $1.1 million in restitution before his arrest.

He now faces possible imprisonment in the United States and could be deported to Nigeria after serving his sentence.
