Super Eagles Hit by Injury, Nwabali Doubtful Ahead of Uganda Clash

The Super Eagles have suffered a setback ahead of their final group stage match at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, with head coach Eric Chelle confirming that first-choice goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali is carrying both knee and ankle injuries.

Chelle addressed the media ahead of Nigeria’s final Group C fixture against Uganda on Tuesday, noting that a decision on who will start in goal will be made following the team’s final training session later on Monday. “We will manage for the team,” he said.

Despite the injury concerns, the Super Eagles remain top of Group C with six points and have already secured progression to the Round of 16 after their weekend victory over Tunisia.
