Tinubu Approves Leadership Reshuffle in River Basin Authorities

President Bola Tinubu has approved a major reshuffle in the leadership of River Basin Development Authorities under the Federal Ministry of Water Resources to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
According to a statement by presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga, the changes affect key positions across various river basin authorities.
At the Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority in Abeokuta, Sowade Oluwakayode Adebayo has been appointed as the new Executive Director of Engineering Services, replacing Engr. Julius Oloro.
In the Niger Delta River Basin Development Authority, Chucks Erhire takes over as the Executive Director of Engineering Services, succeeding Dr. Austin Nonyelim Izagbo.
Similarly, Sunday Kubba Hassan has been appointed as the Executive Director of Planning at the Lower Benue River Basin Development Authority, replacing Chief Chris Tarka. However, Engr. Okibe Timothy retains his position as the Executive Director of Engineering at the same authority.
President Tinubu urged the newly appointed officials to uphold integrity and professionalism in their roles, emphasizing the importance of effective water management and rural development to benefit all Nigerians.
