Egypt Confirmed as New Hosts of U-20 AFCON
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed Egypt as the new host of the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations. This decision follows Cote d’Ivoire’s withdrawal from hosting the competition earlier this week.
Egypt had previously submitted a bid to host the biennial tournament, with support from the Egyptian Football Association and the Egyptian government. The North African country also hosted the competition in 2023.
CAF has assured that the tournament will proceed as scheduled, running from Sunday, April 27, to Sunday, May 18, 2025.
