Nigerian Army Opens Recruitment for 89 Regular Intake – How to Apply

The Nigerian Army has officially commenced online registration for the 89 Regular Recruits Intake Exercise for Trades and Non-Tradesmen/Women.
According to an announcement on the Army’s official X account, applicants must be single Nigerian citizens by birth and possess a valid National Identity Number (NIN) and Bank Verification Number (BVN).
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, candidates must:
- Meet the medical, physical, and psychological fitness standards set by the Nigerian Army.
- Have no criminal record.
- Possess a valid state of origin certificate.
For Non-Trades applicants, a minimum of four passes, including English Language, in not more than two sittings in WASSCE, GCE, NECO, or NABTEB is required.
For Trades applicants, relevant trade qualifications or certificates must be presented.
Age and Height Requirements
- Non-Trades applicants: 18–22 years as of June 30, 2025.
- Trades applicants: 18–26 years as of June 30, 2025.
- Minimum height: 1.68 meters for males, 1.65 meters for females.
