Tinubu Extends Nandap’s Tenure as Immigration Comptroller-General

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the tenure extension of Mrs. Kemi Nanna Nandap as Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) until December 31, 2026.
Nandap, who joined the NIS on October 9, 1989, was originally appointed Comptroller-General on March 1, 2024, with her tenure set to expire on August 31, 2025. However, due to her outstanding leadership and reforms, Tinubu has extended her service.
Announcing the extension on Monday, Presidential Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, highlighted Nandap’s contributions to border security, modernization of immigration processes, and enhanced national security.
President Tinubu commended her leadership and urged her to remain committed to the Service’s strategic goals, in line with his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda. He also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening the NIS in securing Nigeria’s borders and promoting safe, legal migration.
