The alert, released by the US Embassy in Abuja, warned of potential disruptions, including heavy traffic, roadblocks, checkpoints, and possible confrontations.

The advisory listed key protest locations, including Bannex Plaza, Berger Junction, Unity Fountain, the National Human Rights Commission Head Office, Eagle Square, Area 10 Shopping Plaza, the National Mosque, Al-Noor Mosque, and Fouad Lababidi Mosque. The embassy urged residents to avoid protest areas, exercise caution, stay informed through local media, and review their personal security plans.

The statement emphasized the importance of carrying proper identification and keeping mobile phones charged in case of emergencies. Despite the alert, the Consular Sections of the US Embassy in Abuja and the Consulate General in Lagos will remain open, with citizens advised to monitor official US government websites for further updates.
