President Bola Tinubu is currently hosting Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama at the Presidential Villa in Abuja as both leaders engage in high-level talks to reinforce diplomatic relations.
Mahama arrived at the State House around 2:30 PM on Thursday, making it his first official visit to Nigeria since his inauguration on January 7, 2025.
The meeting is centered on enhancing bilateral cooperation between Nigeria and Ghana, with discussions expected to cover trade, regional security, and economic partnerships. Both leaders are also set to deliberate on developments within the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), reaffirming their commitment to stability and democratic governance in the region.
