Taraba Police PPRO Abdullahi Usman Passes Away

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Taraba State Police Command, Abdullahi Usman, has died after battling an illness for some time.
Usman, who served as the police spokesperson for the past three years, passed away in the early hours of Sunday at his home in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital.
His deputy, Gambo Kwache, who had previously acted as the command’s spokesperson when Usman was receiving medical treatment, confirmed the news. He said he was asleep when he woke up to 14 missed calls and a message informing him of Usman’s passing.
A close friend, Ahmed Manga, also confirmed the death, explaining that Usman’s condition worsened late Saturday night. Efforts were made to take him to the Federal Medical Center (FMC) in Jalingo, but he passed away on the way. Doctors at the hospital later confirmed his death.
According to Islamic rites, Usman will be buried at the Taraba State Police Cemetery in Jalingo at 2 p.m.
