Former Senate President Lawan Sympathizes with Yobe Fire Victims, Donates Millions of Naira

Former Senate President Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan has expressed deep sympathy for the victims of the recent fire outbreaks that ravaged communities across Machina, Nguru, and Yusufari Local Government Areas in Yobe State. In a statement personally signed on Monday, Lawan described the incidents as unfortunate, acknowledging the severe losses and hardships they have caused for affected families.
He extended his thoughts and prayers to those impacted, emphasizing the importance of collective responsibility in times of crisis. Stressing the need for unity and support, he reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that affected communities receive the necessary assistance for recovery.
To provide immediate relief, Lawan donated N27 million and 300 bags of rice, complementing the Yobe State government’s efforts to aid those displaced by the fires. He assured that he remains dedicated to working tirelessly for the welfare of the communities and advocating for measures to prevent future disasters.
