Benue South Constituency Declares Unwavering Support for Tinubu, Alia

The people of Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency, also known as Enone Federal Constituency in Benue South, have reaffirmed their commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led federal and state governments, declaring full support for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Hyacinth Alia.
In a massive solidarity rally held over the weekend, prominent APC figures, including former Senate President Senator Ameh Ebute, gathered to endorse the leadership of Tinubu and Alia, passing a resounding vote of confidence on their administrations.
Speaking on behalf of the rally organizers, Hon. Linda Ene Agada, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Town Beautification, expressed gratitude to the thousands of constituents who came out in support of Governor Alia. She emphasized that the governor has prioritized development in Enone despite challenges, citing ongoing projects such as the Igumale-Agila and Igumale-Okpoga roads, as well as the construction of a Primary Health Care Centre in Ai-Oduh, Ogbadibo Local Government Area.
Hon. Agada highlighted key appointments given to Enone indigenes under Alia’s administration, including the first Chairman of the Benue State Internal Revenue Service from the Idoma-Igede extraction, the pioneer Director General of Public Procurement, the Deputy Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, the Commissioner for Women Affairs, and the Commissioner for Water Resources and Climate Change. Additionally, she noted federal appointments, including a Federal Commissioner in the Public Complaints Commission and three federal board members.
Popularly known as the “Lioness of Enone,” Hon. Agada described the rally as a gesture of appreciation for Governor Alia’s developmental strides and a reaffirmation of the constituency’s readiness to support his re-election bid in 2027.
Former Senate President Senator Ameh Ebute, who received the rally’s declaration, commended the organizers for their efforts in mobilizing support. He recalled his past working relationship with President Tinubu during his time as Senate President and underscored the importance of standing behind Governor Alia amid opposition forces working against Benue’s progress.
“The entire Zone C is behind this government,” Ebute assured, praising Hon. Agada for orchestrating what he described as an unprecedented show of support in the region.
The event also saw the presence of several political heavyweights, including Dr. Francis Ottah Agbo, former House of Representatives Member and ex-Chairman of the House Committee on Narcotic Drugs; Mr. Okoriko Aba, an insurance expert committed to community progress; Hon. Fab Agada, former chairman of Ogbadibo Local Government; Jane Ikese, Vice Chairman of Ado Local Government; and Hon. Sunday Otse Ogenyi, Deputy Leader of Ado Legislative Council.
Other dignitaries at the rally included Hon. Francis Olofu Ogwuche, former Chairman of Okpokwu Local Government; Hon. Sabila; and Hon. Aba Isaiah, among others. The event reinforced the constituency’s alignment with the APC-led administration and its commitment to the continued development of Benue State.
