Rivers Governor Fubara makes first public appearance amid speculation

Suspended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has been spotted attending a Sunday service at Salvation Ministries in Port Harcourt, the state capital.
His public appearance follows days of speculation regarding his whereabouts after President Bola Tinubu declared a state of emergency in Rivers State last Tuesday.
Amid the uncertainty, reports had suggested that Fubara had relocated to the Bayelsa State Government House, where he would stay throughout the six-month emergency period. However, his presence at the church service today puts an end to those speculations.
President Tinubu had suspended the governor, his deputy, and all elected members of the Rivers State House of Assembly over a prolonged political crisis in the state, citing a breakdown of law and order.
