Anambra guber: Moghalu flags off sensitization tour
The national auditor of All Progressives Congress (APC) and frontline aspirant in the November 18 Anambra governorship election, Chief George Muoghalu has warned voters on the implication of accepting any gratification in exchange for their vote.
Moghalu gave the warning at Ekwulobia in Aguata Local Government Area during the flag-off of his sensitization tour of the state in connection with the November 18 election.
He told the APC supporters who trooped out in their numbers at all the places he visited during the flag off including Ajali, Awgbu and Nanka communities in Orumba North Council Area and some parts of Anambra East and West Council Areas that his entry into the governorship race was to effect positive change in the governance of Anambra State and to bring in democracy dividends in the real sense of it.
He reminded the people that politicians at election time would tell all sorts of lies and make all manner of promises including building bridges on dry lands so as to be voted for only to renege after winning the election. He warned them to be wary of those politicians. He told them that they could accept money or any other gratification from the governorship contenders but should never sell their conscience.
Moghalu noted that it was possible in the past to hoodwink the electorate into making a wrong choice which he said would be difficult in this dispensation since the voters had become more knowledgeable and politically aware than ever before.
